British Summer School offers immersive summer programmes in the UK for international students aged 6–18, hosted at respected British boarding schools. We provide a range of English language, sports, and specialist courses, alongside cultural activities and excursions, allowing students to learn, stay active, and explore their interests. The Full Programme
Our full programme is designed to offer a complete summer school experience, combining different elements depending on the course. Options may include academic study or professional sports training, and may include a full leisure programme and exciting excursions to explore the UK.
Academic
British Summer School offers a range of courses, some with an academic focus designed to enhance learning and challenge students. On these courses the syllabus follows the 21st century learning curriculum and is tailored to each age group. All English lessons are designed to improve students’ English abilities in each of the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
Leisure
Some courses include a diverse leisure programme with sports like athletics, badminton, basketball, football, tennis, volleyball and more, plus creative activities such as art, drama, dance, swimming, yoga, and countryside treks. At British Summer School, we believe learning thrives through natural interaction and active participation.
SPORTS TRAINING
British Summer School also offers specialised courses focusing entirely on professional sports training. Courses include expert coaching in football or tennis, with technical drills, skill-building workshops, and high-level practice sessions led by experienced instructors. Students develop their skills, build strength and strategy, and gain real competitive experience.
Cultural
Excursions adds a further cultural and recreational dimension to all British Summer School courses. They are an important part of the programme where students can enjoy their new friendships in a relaxed setting. Students will visit places of cultural and historical interest and provide an opportunity for recreational activities and shopping.
